Fastlane/Goldlok train availability.

Always having regretted never buying the goldlok western express set when I had the chance and only finding this wholesale distributor, I was wondering if one of the many friendly miniature or terrain manufacturers on these boards couldn't be interested in stocking a carton of these and selling them on to the rest of us (at a small profit of course).

As a side note: There are three versions of the FastLane/Goldlok train sets.

In the U.S. the Western toy train set shown here was available this past Christmas at Toys R Us for $24.99.

Meanwhile, the "modern" version (1950s) was available in Walgreens' drug stores for $10.00 (but with fewer cars and less track).

The "middle" version, appropriate for 1900-1930 wasn't found anywhere.

The scale works out to 1/48 and uses American O Gauge track (you'll need more track).

All three may be found on ebay, but the 1920s version is becoming more and more rare.

The only markings on the box are 'Western Loco', and a 'W' with the letters 'VONDERFUL' underneath.

Should that be a Fastlane one? Lots of details are similar to the ones of the Fastlane train....

Oh - and I WOULD be interested in more trains!

I have one goldlok one which is the Eastern Express (I think), comes  with the engine, 5 wagons and partial building (and tracks of course). While the locomotive itseld looks similar, the wagons don't look like the ones on jours.

No Argonor that is not the fast lane one.  I have the fast lane and its very nice there are a few others out there that are smaller and would do in a pinch but I think the western express by fast lane is the best I have found.

hm the inside of my tracks are 32 mm, is that Ogauge
set is called american western express and the manufacturer seems to be toy state industries

That one looks nice too. How does it scale with minis?

Much better, though the angle still makes it a bit hard to judge the relative scale. I suppose you don't have a picture taken from a greater distance?

To get back to my original suggestion, I'd like to add that I'd buy at least two sets myself if someone made them available to us.
