Great stuff, the composition of the models really gives the units a feeling of movement.

Thanks for the kind words guys.

These are some of my latest SAGA Gripping Beast plastic models.  This one is a conversion that I did.

I blended in the mail lines at the shoulders a little.  The mail can be done with a little patience, green stuff and using a ball stylus.

These two are couple of others that I did.  Shield transfers on these are from Battle Flag.

I had placed an order a long time ago from Saxon Miniatures and Colin sent me some samples of the Arthurians.  Now, I'm not really into Arthurians, and I have yet to get around to painting the viking warlords that I had ordered, but I did get around to painting the Arthurians.  They are nice miniatures, casts are not too bad for metal, and require the normal filing and smoothing.  The poses are nice and dynamic.  The only real complaint I have are the size of the helmeted heads, but I could live with that if I was in to Arthurians.  The heads on the viking warlords (with the exception of one particular model) are smaller that the Arthurians.  Nonetheless cool miniatures and I look forward to doing more with Saxon Miniatures.

I've finally started on my Saxons...and a few other things and some more Vikings.  These are the WIP shots of what's on my desk currently...making some progress.

Also getting some skirmishers done with these slingers, as well as Viking with a dog.

And the first of the Collin Patten Saxon Miniatures Viking Warlord getting some paint while painting Saxons....

Also trying a few different techniques with some of the Secret Weapon's washes.  So far I kind of like some of them.

Great painting *thumbs up*.

I have been entertaining the notion of buying some of the Saxon Miniatures Arthurians so thank you for posting your thoughts on them.

Thanks for the compliments.

I very much like the Viking Warlords and Saxon Warlords from Saxon Miniatures.  I even bought second set of the Viking Warlords to convert.

I have no plans to keep these 3 old Vikings.  As I'm getting back in to the swing of things, still struggling a little bit with my left eye due to the facial nerve damage from that damn brain tumor that I had removed, I do feel like I'm beginning to get my flow back on painting.  So I finished painting these up for testing the eye some more and messing around with a few different paints.  I did these up just prior to the big batch of Saxons on the WIP desk.  I think they turned out alright.

The castings are showing their age most certainly.

Much more to follow....

Thanks guys.

Unfortunately, full recovery is not going to happen, this is as about as good as its ever going to get, and likely will only get worse.  I was lucky in that the tumor was benign.  Unlucky that I've permanently lost my hearing in the left ear, the balance nerves on the left side, along with the facial nerve issues that cause a lot of little problems, and I still have a small portion of the tumor sitting on the facial nerve cluster right next to the brain stem.  Typically this type of tumor is slow growing and so far shows no sign of regrowth.  So my hope is some genius comes up with a new treatment that one day does not involve radiation next to my brain stem.  In the mean time live everyday like its your last.  I cannot ride a bicycle yet without tipping over, but I can and have gotten back in my racing go-karts.  There's a couple tracks that play heck with my balance and give me slight vertigo like symptoms, but I just fight through it and keep going.
