February 2nd 1884.

The first British exploration of Venus began earlier today with the arrival of the Royal Geographical Society expedition led by the current president of the RGS Lord Abedare and his financier Lord Belborough. (Astute readers will recall Lord Belborough has designed and built most of the civilian transports, as well as fund the expedition.)

Lord Abedare sporting a new Winchester repeating rifle with splendid Brass magnifying sight.

Lord Belborough with his trusty Elephant gun made by London Gunsmiths Holland and Holland.

The Royal Geographical Society secretary, HW Bates Esq.

Lord Abedare is westwind/Old Glory and the others Copplestone castings

Spiffing stuff. Particularly like Lord Aberdare. Great sideburns. There are some gems in the West Wind ranges...

You said that Lord Aberdare is a Westwind/OG figure.
I like him very much and I am trying tofind him. I was unable to locate him in both westwind and Old glory sites.
can you possibly direct me to the link?

He is from the Cowboy Wars range, from one of the European Hunting Party packs.(He comes with a nice mounted version who will shortly be riding a dinosaur..

I don't think you can get them anymore from Westwind. Try Old Glory

No, the figure is untouched, he is as he came. The rifle with sight is a nice touch though.
