Dead Man's Hand US Cavalry size question
« on: 23 September 2016, 12:00:30 AM »
Anyone know how the DMH US Cavalry models size up next to Perry ACW? I'm doing some 1860s cavalry and the DMH models, despite being for 1870s, are super and would look great alongside the Perry dismounted cavalry (no command figs in Perry packs and the DMH officer is so cool) IF the sizes aren't disproportionate...

Thanks

Don't know about the cavalry specifically but their bandidos are a fair bit slimmer than foundries. Not much in it heightwise, but skinny. Very nice figures mind you but I would balk at mixing them, unless you use them for weedy new recruits sort of thing.

Scratch that, I 've just gone and had a look - they are noticeably thinner and maybe a millimetre or two taller but I reckon they'd fit after all.

Compared to other ranges I'd say DMH are a little bit short, and a little bit slender (ie. more realistic).  They're small compared to say Black Scorpion/Knuckleduster 32's.  I had a plastic Perry ACW figure, I'll see if I can find him.

If they are smaller and slender then it sounds like they'll be a good fit. I may take the plunge!!

Please let us know.  I am looking for some more cavalry models to alongside my Foundry 7th cavalry.  Also if they fit then so will the renegade indians.

Artizan and Foundry fit together pretty nicely
