No green stuff(other stuff is available) has been harmed in this production. It is a plactic top off a carton of juice.

Went with my brother to a car boot sale today and added another ship to this project
But first up some more progress with my freighter

and next the new ship, cost a whole £6. To me appears to be a good scale, what do you think

Just a few screw holes to fill, a new paint job and it will be good to go
I also received a package from combat zone yesterday as suggested by commander vyper earlier in the thread
They looked good on this site
http://combatzone-scenery.co.uk/epages/e25b18fb-c32b-422a-8493-a8baeb0f1a17.mobile/en_GB/?ObjectPath=%2FShops%2Fe25b18fb-c32b-422a-8493-a8baeb0f1a17%2FCategories%2FGames%2FImperial_Assault
But I am afraid they are not so good in real life

Hardly a straight line on them not exactly what I would have expected for their cost
I will need to find another source for the star wars crates

Slave 1 looks great (a tad small but for £6 you can't argue  :D). The freighter is coming together nicely as well  8)

I will need to find another source for the star wars crates

Let me have your address in a pm and I'll send you some  :)

cheers

James

If you can hold on until the new year, then I will have a new line of resin terrain for sale - crates, barrels and stacks.

Ouch, those barrels and console things look terrible. Have you complained to them?

The freighters coming along nicely and it looks like where on the one hand you lucked out with the scenery, on the other you came up trumps at the carboot sale.

Amazing scratchbuilding colin with that freighter!  :o  :o Looks really good, and the detail of a working loading ramp is a very nice touch, certainly not easy but the sign of a true artist at work.  8)  8)  8)

Cheers

Colin, I found this in Lidl for £11.99. It's a 1:51 First Order TIE fighter from Revell. It's a push fit kit but it's pretty nice and not too bad size wise. The image shows some Imperial Assault figures and a WotC bendy. Even better, it makes the TIE engine sound and has a flashy red light.

Mantic do some crates for deadzone.

Not cheap, not "official", but they're plastic, and cleanly cast.

I have the Revell Slave 1 model, which is slightly smaller than that one, but yours looks "good enough"tm

I've been enjoying the freighter build, hopefully all those surfaces will paint up without too much trouble

I almost put it back thinking that it would look too much like a toy but it doesn't. There's one small screw hole to the rear that will easily cover. I'm really pleased with it and thought it might tick some boxes with your own project.

I checked some stuff when I got home, and the Mantic crates are resin, not plastic - but still cleanly cast.

I was going to suggest Spartan Scenics for consoles (and also crates). However,  the "buy scenics" link on the Spartan Games website leads to an "unknown category" page, so they may have dropped them :(
