I may have caved! Silly money, but my (feeble) excuse is that I don't have to pay the kind of postage most of you do.

I plan to post build updates on the blog - I think this will be a long-term project. http://preacherbyday.blogspot.com.au/search/label/Peregrine%20project

Lucky git! I'm jealous, because I would really like to build one too.

I'll be keeping an eye on your progress and be living vicariously through you for the duration... :D

It is a nice looking kit. But I would fear for my sanity if I had to put that together and than paint it.

I have precious few sanity points left as it is. I cannot go wasting them on something like this - or could I...?

I suppose the main question is, what are the plans like?

Thanks guys! I find this sort of thing oddly therapeutic. Something about wood and pva that I don't get with plastic kits. James, instructions are here: https://www.miniaturescenery.com/Public/Instructions/PEREGRINE.pdf

I have some of their fork lift trucks that I still haven't figured out how to put together.

Just looking at that makes me want to hide under a desk, rocking slowly back and forth and wimpering quietly to myself  lol

Best of luck o_o

Thank you for posting the link. They do seem very comprehensive and thought out, on a par with more mainstream kit instructions  8)

I have to agree, that instruction manual is worthy of a kit that price.

I find this sort of thing oddly therapeutic. Something about wood and pva that I don't get with plastic kits.

At least it's not small blue foam bricks.  ;D

I'm very much in two minds about this kit. it appears to be full of good idea's and smart tricks, incorporating different thicknesses of material in clever ways. On the other hand I can still very clearly see that it's a laser cut set, which, to me at least, does take away from it.

Ha ha! I bought two different forklift kits at the same time! They will have to wait though.

Very interested in your effort with this kit, specially the painting.

Could you pre-spray the sprues before assembly? And then it should only be a matter of touching up and weathering afterwards.

Looking trough the instructions there are many many surfaces which show the cut edges of the MDF.
