Just curious when it comes to shipping fees.
To save on shipping fees could the model be completely cut out and shipped/sold in pieces w/o the extras?
Could send a photo of what the pieces would look like not all the way cut out. The customer uses this to assemble the parts to match the photo. Then proceed to put it together.
Wouldn't this save on weight for shipping?

Probably would save on weight, but without having everything stuck on nice neat sheets it might make the package actually end up bigger and most shipping companies charge dimensionally as well as on weight.  Popping out 1000 pieces would also add alot of labor to the production end of things.

The size difference, if any, would be miminal at worst. I am sure her experts out there would make short work of such a issue.

Popping out 1000 pieces would also add alot of labor to the production end of things.
Again miminal. The cutter was to cut out all the pieces pull out the frame and slide the bits into a box. Again the experts would have a better explanation of the process.
And adding to the labor. More sales helps to offset production costs.

What I am thinking in my head to make the changes all depends on what the factory floor and set up looks like.

But then imagine having to look for that one little bit out of a pile of 1000+ pieces... lol

Just the idea gives me flashbacks of little me, sitting on the floor surrounded by mounds of Lego, searching endlessly for that one special brick I knew I had, but just couldn't locate... ::)

If anything, that taught me angelic patience with things (but not people though)...
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...
