I put together a first pass at a Squad inspired by, and planning to use, some of Mantic's excellent Rebs figures from Deadzone.

See whether you think I got them right:

I wasn't familiar with these minis. I really liked Yrtl, he fits my idea of an alien mercenary/bounty hunter to a tee. The others I could take or leave, but if you like them that's what counts. The stats for Rogue Stars look fine to me.
I am going to build a wargames army, a big beautiful wargames army, and Mexico is going to pay for it.

Check out the whole range. There are several other species plus different sculpts of some of the ones I picked for my Squad. Sadly, the only other Teraton sculpt for DZ is significantly smaller than the plastic/resin one.

Deadzone is a Mantic game - link

The figures are nice, although the ones I have are restic, and were a major pain to clean >:(

I like your squad of 'rogues' though I will start with more "street" cops (do trails in a hive count as. Streets?). - 6 figures - lower in traits individually while I learn the game.  Besides I have the figures in 15/18mm painted by a friend already.

Nice review.  And I am also looking to use Deadzone rebs for this game, some great alien types in that range.  I also want to find a use for the female Dwarf character r that came in the DZ KS.

I ordered the Loor Scouts from CP Models and wrote up some background material for the race as well as drafting out a Squad roster.

How about you posting some content instead of just linking to you blog.

It's called etiquette, it's about you adding something to the boards rather than just using them to pimp the contents of your blog.

I plan use reaper IMEF models as a simple crew starter crew. (Bones versions) They will be mercenaries, I just need a civilian client to round up now.

The IMEF guys are a great fit for RS, I very nearly ordered some myself just yesterday. As for civilian clients, CP Models has newish Non-Coms that look really cool:

After mixed experiences creating content for a forum, I decided to create content for my blog and share and discuss it on various discussion forums. If any of these posts included pics of miniatures I painted, I would include a preview as I have elsewhere. The posts in question, however, are text and I provided a clear description for each one. Bypassing my content to post a drive-by lecture on content and ettiquette - of all things - is stark irony. So please stop dragging my thread off-topic.

I'd greatly appreciate it if a mod would delete the entire exchange.
