And I've been trying to get more info out of the WG gurus over on their forum.

So far...nothing...

Warlord worked with Wargames factory, so I expect the old figures in plastic they made.

They had a few gems in the mix. Their greatcoat troopers and their stuff that they made with Dreamforge.

Their samurai were great to use for bits as well because the plastic weapons were able to be extremely thin.

I also liked their Amazons and greeks that could be mixed with other sets.

Pretty pleased that they are re-releasing the old WF minis (for that is what these are), needed a final box of the samurai for a project and then they went OOP. WF wise I'm quite a fan of their Samurai and Colonial Militia some of their other stuff was a bit dodge

I wasn't crazy about their foot Samurai, but the mounted version were quite good. Their ashigaru were also nice and a nice mix with the Perry sculpts.

The price will probably double..... :(

Will be interesting to see the rules, preferably large skirmish size, not fussed about the minis, they are not very good and there are other companies that make better

WLG has offered WGF samurai sprues for a while now. Test of Honor is pretty clearly in the same vein as Project Z (and people seem to totally gloss over the game content there, too). I wonder if WLG are going to tweak the samurai sprues at all. IMO they were already pretty great for the price. I will almost certainly pick up at least the core box here.

I really hope not. There are already a lot of options for this - some of them are even good. A mid-sized skirmish game would be great.

That is my feeling as well.

I have a few Perry Samurai for Ronin- now it looks like I will have to buy more....
