Deadzone Ogre and DIY palettes
Very Cool.
Deadzone never took off in our group (though we pledged for the first KS).  With Shadow War Launching, I think there's some good possibilities for crossover of Deadzone/Warpath minis making their way into Shadow War. Especially seeing that some Deadzone deals seem to cover most of the options for Shadow War factions for a much lower cost.
I haven't played anything 40k since my early teens. But I think I'll be getting the updated Shadow War rulebook when it comes out, I've no need for the core box game. It's mostly to get the nice book. Necromunda Community Edition is superior in it's campaign system.

You should try out the 2nd edition of Deadzone, just go with some proxy miniatures. The new system is so much easier, faster and better than the first. And the rulebook is no longer a mess.

Very nice!

I hope we see more  :D

Our group has just started playing Version 2 of Deadzone and are loving it!
I really like version 2 as well. I like how fast the games are, fit my free time. And it lets you play around with a lot of different scenarios and teams in an afternoon worth of gaming.

Ogre Mercenary
really like this Ogre mercenary model for Deadzone, there's something about him that reminds me of the Super Mutants from Fallout. I painted him up in the same colours as my Marauders, but without any GCPS insignia.

Unlike many of the other models this is Mantic distinct in its feel. So this one could fit into Necromunda as well without feeling like the wrong brand - if that's something you're into.

I haven't really been using mercenaries in games of Deadzone. But for Star Saga there'll be character cards for all the Deadzone Mercenaries, so they'll properly see some action there. He's also gonna serve some gangs in Scrappers.

Homemade palettes
Wooden palettes are great little pieces of scatter terrain. I love doing multi purpose terrain and these will work for all my modern, post-apoc and sci-fi games.

One of the issues with a lot of scatter terrain, is that it'll fall over and get pushed around during games. Often just becoming an annoyance or getting ignored. And like most gamers I have lots of small scatter pieces. Gluing some barrels, crates and cannisters to a palette will prevent that and give the whole thing a bit more mass.

I've written a tutorial on how I made these. I toke me an hours work to make 12. Bet it'll be even faster the next time I make some.

Tutorial here: DIY 28mm palettes LINK.

Some Deadzone Rebs are looting a GCPS supply depot.

Warning Danger Signs
Made some danger and warning signs and printed them on adhessive sticker. Easy detail to add to industrial terrain, crates, barrels etc.

I've compiled the photos from the web into a combined document, working for 20mm - 28mm stuff.

See blog post, with download of the sheet here: LINK.

Bloodbeard: Landing pad and elevator tower
« Reply #18 on: 24 May 2017, 07:28:20 PM »
Started building this piece of terrain years ago, but didn't come around to finishing until now. Very happy with the result and it looks good next to my crane.

This was a cheap build, the bulk of it being done with sprue and insulation foam.

I've made a blog post over at the Garage with materials, tools, WIPs, thoughts and a lot more photos of the finished pieces. See it here:

Finished another industrial building for my scifi battlefields, be it the Underhive, a Deadzone or Post-Apoc Wasteland.

Another cheap build using toys and sprue to get some extra mass.

There's some thought on the build, the pieces used, WIPs shots and so on over at the blog:

But otherwise you can just enjoy the pictures:

Deadzone / Warpath Asterians by Bloodbeard
« Reply #20 on: 11 June 2017, 01:27:30 PM »

Asterians
Space Elves for Deadzone/Warpath. I'm gonna use these for a lot of other things as well. Splitting these up would bring multible different teams to Scrappers for example.

I've written a lot more about the models and stuff done in the blogger: http://bloodbeard.blogspot.dk/p/blog-page_10.html

But here's some pictures of the models. There's even more in the blog as well.

Leaders

Troops with noh rifles

Troops with charge gloves

Specialist with fission beamers

Kalyshi - a troop choice

Marionette troops and specialist

Specialist Black Talons and character Ten'Ur Go

Drones

The entire team

Deadzone Enforcers!
I've done some updates (and a lot more models) for my Enforcer strike team for Deadzone. Very nice models to work with. I call the strike team Niflheim.

As always there's a lot of words and more photos at my Blogger:

There's some awesome stuff here. I love your sci fi bases, definitely going to check out those rolling pins. You must nearly have every deadzone faction painted by now!

I've really digged that model since first I saw it. Was about to convert an Enforcer medic, when I decided this was cooler.

Thank you. I have all factions except Vermyn and GCPS painted up. It's a wonderful little game and it's nice to do a lot of different miniatures.

Vermyn has a lot of models coming from Star Saga. So I won't paint those before I get that set - or at least know what weapons are in it. Dont want dublicates.

And GCPS still need the official list to come out of beta, before I'm gonna touch those. I have the models for it.

Still have a lot of enforcers and forge father options to  build, along with some more hero models. Chipping a bit away every month. Thanks for looking.
