...I blame you personally for my newfound desire to get zombies. Damn man, be less good...

There are plenty of zeds on this thread (excuse some of the language if you open it at work!)
http://frothersunite.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=14481If you are at Salute, be sure to stop by the Frothers game, as thats where my zombies will be headed....

What rules do you usually use? Favorite scenarios?
Home grown rules - 2 sides of A4 - quick and bloody.
Very much bang bang you're dead - turn movement is randomised by the use of a deck of cards - 3 types of zeds slow/shamblers (move on a black card), fast zeds (move on a black royal card ie jack/queen/king), and hordes (move on a black ace) - survivors move on a red card - vary the number of cards depending upon how tough you want the game to be... There is a joker, which acts as the "stop" card - end of turn, shuffle the deck, remove zombie knock-back counters etc.
Combat/melee results are simple too. Results against a zombie for shooting are either Headshot (remove), "Knock-back (effectively pinned until the deck gets reshuffled), or No effect. Melee is even simpler - when the zeds lose, they get removed - survivors dice when they lose a combat - either unharmed/injured (risk of "turning" in a campaign game)/ or "BRAAIINNNSSS" (zombie food).
I prefer mass skirmish games, as you can see, so players get a small gang each, and the zombies are moved by everyone, as they get "activated" by being within a certain range - either sight/smell, or sound. Zombie casualities get recycled at spawn points, scattered around the board as the scenario dictates.
Scenarios - Escape off the table/ Scavenge for supplies/ Rescue/ Defend a building - whatever you fancy - Left4Dead is giving me some inspiration the moment, but my longterm goal is to refight the Battle Of Yonkers...(Max Brooks novel - World War Z)
That's a horde for sure. Two quick questions:
How do you store them?
How do you transport them?
Transport to Salute, they will be based on 25mm round magnetic bases - available at a very reasonable price from Hasslefree:
