My Next Army for Firefight ( with a couple of updates).
« on: April 12, 2017, 05:51:22 AM »
I made my first Firfight army in pretty quick time using a mix of figures and models and, as a result, I found myself with a bunch of Beyond the Gates of Antares troops left over. These are going to be my next battlegroup.

These will be the private army of a space mining consortium of the GCPS - The Ganymede Interstellar Mining Pact (this may change). They will mainly consist of tactical infantry squads with some heavy weapons. I don't really expect this to be a great winning force but more like a militant private security outfit. They should be interesting to use due to their simplicity and limitations.

Below is a link to my blog. It's the place where I write uninteresting things about little toy soldiers. I do this because I refuse to grow up and behave like an adult.

I like the strider's camo and the magenta glowy bits - very striking. :)

Looking at which models you have, I can't help but think they'd make good Enforcers too.

Love the glowy guns.

That strider is neat.

Not bad, and I really need to pick up one of those striders.
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

I like the dark "Stealth" look.

Oddly, your Enforcer has me thinking in the opposite direction, seeing if I could adapt it for Beyond the Gates of Antares. Maybe as a piece of Boromite Mining equipment?

They look great! A nice contrast to my Saurian Corporation.

I like the 3 tone camo on the large chap. Very nice
I am going to build a wargames army, a big beautiful wargames army, and Mexico is going to pay for it.

I like the idea of the GCPS being a collection of interests in a vast trade co-operative with varying agendas and every possibility of being unco-operative where power and money are the main objectives.

I got a few crew painted for my heavy weapons.

I ordered a couple of BGoT packs with guys with a (sort of) mortar thing. I had to order them from the UK because the only ones I could get here in Australia only have two crewmen and I wanted the three crew versions. So I've been waiting for them to arrive so that I can finish them (hopefully tomorrow!).

Nice integration of the based as part of the model.

What figures are they?

The figures are Beyond the Gates of Antares (repurposed) and the weapon is scratch built using a left over from a BGoA gun drone, an old base, a few buttons and plasti-card

I finished my heavy weapons crews and added a mortar battery too.
I've almost finished 1250pts so they should be ready for the next time I get to play a game.
