Great AAR, beautiful figures, I like very much the redoubt with the Cossacks! An enjoyable game, for sure!

It looked good, it played well and wasa very nicely balanced game.  Well done.
It was a pleasure to meet a group of genuinely nice gamers who made me feel very welcome.

Thanks guys, this was a unit I wanted to do from the start.

My understanding in terms of grenadier headgear is that it is still debated although I accept Hoglund has them all in Tricorne or Karpus. My other units have Grenadiers in same headgear as unit but the Grenadier Guards cry out to be done with a mitre so that's my excuse, even if I was convinced about the headgear I would still have used the mitres for this one unit I think. Apart from that glad you like them, I wanted a really dynamic looking unit for these and think I have captured that.

Beside the iconic Guard Grenadiers there were only one other battalion sized grendier formation. So if you want to have a go another GNW grenadier unit, you could do the "Grenadier Battalion" (Grenadjärbataljonen). This unit was formed in 1716 on the kings command to be a rapid deployment force. The men were selected from the following units:

Smålands tremänningsregmente
Västgöta tremänningsregmente*
Upplands femmänningsregmentet*
Västgöta femmänningsregmentet
Östra Skånska utskrivningsregementet*
Västra Skånska utskrivningsregemente
Halländska utskrivningsregementet
Bergsregementet

8 companies of each 64 men. In the Norwegian Campaign of 1718 they had 512 men. This unit had the same dress as the Guard Grenadiers  but considering that the men came from different formations I would assume it was not impossible that some wore dress items from their original units. This could mean that a few grey coats could be included. They were disbanded in 1719 and amalgated with the Life Guard.

* while 3-5 farms formed a "rote" responsible of providing one equipped soldier to the National regiments the losses in the war soon required more troops. Three("tre") "rote" were then forced to equip one more soldier. These units were called "Tremänningregemente". Later on, additional demands forced five("fem") "rote" to equip Another soldier which formed a "Femmänningsregmente". "Utskrivningsregemente" means drafted troops outside the "rote" system

Thanks Traveller, I am mainly focused nt he earlier period, pre Poltava but that could be an interesting unit to do with all the varied uniforms thrown in.
