I hate to resurrect this thread, but it seemed to be the logical spot for such a post.  I have been busy creating stuff for my local Fallout RPG and created some brain bots that I thought I would share here.

First the parts

So the parts list is the Star Wars Assassin droid from which we are getting the treads and then from beneath its chin, that element is used behind the head of the droid (see painted figure to see where this goes). -Purchased from Ebay
The body and arms come from Rattrap Productions Robot Type II
And the brain case comes from a Craftstore that sells Carbochon (half-dome) beads.  I got mine from the local Michaels.

Then after prep - notice all the pinning (body to track, arms to body) and scoring of the materials (arms to body and bead to head).

Then after assembly

Then prepainting

and lastly painted

So some buddies wanted me to pull out all my Fallout Terrain for a quick show and tell (they are just now getting to playing Fallout 3) and one of them is a really good photographer and wanted to test his Macro Lens.
So long story short, here are some pictures of some of the terrain and figures I have for my Fallout collection.

Interesting. That's a vault-load you got running around in their jumpers.

Nice stuff.  I had the same ideas for cars.   Love the Red Rocket!

I don't have the really good macro lens but here is what I can give you with my camera.
The men are from the KKBB line of guards.  Good weapon selection and they look like they are in jump suits.

The women are a collection of Reaper Chronoscope, KKBB british agents (Miss Peal), some mini I don't remember, but I think from Vor

One complaint from one of my friends was that I was missing the Pulowski Preservation Systems fallout shelter.  So after spending some quality time at the one in Grayditch, I came up with the following:

While it is a little off in scale (the top part is about twice the size it should be), I was being a bit lazy and didn't feel like cutting it down.  Instead, I took it directly as I found it in the local hardware store and in doing so, I was able to paint all that text on there.

Now one note, I first found the cold water PVC in our store and the caps were like domes.  It took a little bit of searching to find the Hot and Cold water PVC which have the flat top.

So I hope this has inspired some more Fallout Terrain discussions.  I am really looking for ideas on how to make the sewers and train tunnels that were so prevalent in Fallout 3 and still make them usable for miniature games.

No way on the terrain man, i wanna see better pics of the mutant off to the right.

Ok fine, i like the terrain as well. :-)
But seriously, what makes the terrain out of scale? It is terrain and non-descipt terrain at that. Who is to say how big that piece would be IRL to then convert to 28mmish? Just an observation.  :-)

Love your Pulowski! It's great seeing my favorite landmarks (so many books in them!) as scenery.
For the grates and pipes, you could use Evil Mushroom's grate exit as a guideline:

So basically a one-man nuke shelter. Total nonsense and utter hilarious of course :D. In the game you can find these things in a lot of places and if you open them you often find skeletons with lots of nice items, weapons and ammo.

i have been looking for a thread on a forum like this since i discovered fallout warfare (roughly when fallout 3 was announced on NMA)

Anyway, to my point.
i keep buying figures that suit the feel of the fallout setting, but i cant find any decent "Robbie the robot" style figures in the right scale.
any one have any ideas where i could get my hands on some (prefferably within europe/uk)?

also, i hit up on a brilliant idea just after i started hoarding minis for my own fallout warbands project.
using bottlecaps for the bases of the standard size mini's. it really adds to the feel and theme of the game (i use the ones from the glass bottles of coke, but i also have a few beer ones i have painted up as nuka cola caps before using as bases)
