Board done..ish. In the final game I will probably stick some lichen on too. Still need to finish the bases of the mushrooms that Jonas has done.

The shrooms I did out of flour doesn't really fit in I think... going to ponder over that the next few days. Maybe the lichen will tie it all together.

It looks very good, but I think your right, a small bit of not-giant vegetation might help to break it up a bit more and tie it all together. (does that make sense?)

I love everything about this display. Great terrain boards and mushrooms, stalagmites etc. I love the Morlock zulu conversion (I might pinch that idea  ;) ) and the great apes.

terrific work.

Cheers

Crikey, sir. I'm looking forward to today. Up diddly up, down diddly
down, whoops, poop, twiddly dee - decent scrap with the fiendish Red
Baron - bit of a jolly old crash landing behind enemy lines - capture,
torture, escape, and then back home in time for tea and medals.

Just out of curiosity: how many boards do you plan to bring to Horisont? There's Cyberfire, there is Vikings vs. Owlbears vs. Ninjas vs. Romans vs. at least two other factions I forgot about, and now there is Subterranean VSF.

Not that I'm not looking forward to see these at Horisont, though ;) Well done!

ok, I will be showing the VSF game and Thorbjørn will be showing the Vikings VS game and I think we have a third person to show the Cyberfire game.

So I don't think there will be any problems  :)

The problem will be visitors not getting to play every cool game.  lol

Hehe my main job is just to do the terrain and minis. Jonas will do the actual showing in the case of VSF as mentioned. I'll probably have to run to and from Cyberfire and Vikings though as the guy I was doing Cyberfire with folded it seems.  :)

We playtested the scenario again yesterday - now with even more colour.

The final board has been changed into an emerged state. I'll leave it to Jonas to tell something about the actual game.

Ehm, yes, we forgot to take pictures untill it was over, but the game went ok, there has to be only minor changes before Horisont.

When we playtested with just ourself we suffered loads of casulties, but these fresh playtesters seemed to stroll right through all scenarios with only very minor casulties (1 african bearer).

The players are ofcourse supposed to get through the game but it almost seemed to easy this time, but as it is a dice game and we have many random events it is impossible to tell what will happen, so I guess that sometimes it will be easy and sometimes hard.

Now to the actual game, I won't be revealing too much as it would be a giveaway for future gamers to play it.

The first level went by a bit slow but still quite easy, the players soon found out what they needed to do to get rid of the Morlocks but was a bit slow to execute the plan.

Next was the mushroom level, the random counters was turned lucky for the adventurers and they went through this level really easy, but there was not really anything that needed change, it is random which cards will be turned and in which sequence the events unfold.

At the last board the adventurers surface and that had a small flaw in the game, they surface at night, so they better can sneak around, but it worked badly with the limited sight mod (which worked fine in the caverns du to the random events being turned when in sight and counters moving around to represent hidden mosters etc). So for next game it will still be dark here, so the adventurers will be able to sneak around, but moonlit enough to have normal vision for sighting unsneaking models and shooting etc.

All in all a good playtest and I think it will wok well at Horisont and if it turns out that everybody just cakewalk through all three boards, then we might change some stuff before bringing the game along to GLAM or whereelse we might go.

Just a suggestion but maybe the mushrooms on the lower left corner on this picture would blend in more with the rest of the board if you ad a few painted dots on some of them?

Anyhow, that’s a very nice board and much bigger than I though when I saw the first pictures of it.

Very nice work! 8)

This has been a great project to watch going together. I'm inspired to do something big of my own, but wouldn't be able to start until late Jan. Any plans to re-use the boards for "regular" games?
