There are three manufacturers here. The two on the near side of the ditch are Old Glory Swiss. The one in the centre with the French flags is TAG Italians. The one in the distance has a rear rank bases of OG Swiss, but the first three ranks of bases are Foundry Swiss.

I very much like the price of the old glory chaps. Do you know what they look like next to the perry ones? Also some general questions. How many men do you put into one of your pike blocks and what ratio of pike to gun/crossbow is the foot. Also those war of the roses armoured knights by perry. They were also fighting in europe in general like that were they not? (I dont have a bloody clue about this era but I do like painting them.)

I don't have any Perry pike so I can't help you there. The OG are not so anatomically correct as Perry sculpts, in fact they are quite 'rough and ready' when you look closely. But they paint up very well and are amongst the best OG figure ranges. They mix with foundry Swiss, for size, if that helps - The figure with the halberd, 2nd from the back, and the horn blower just visible in the back rank, are Foundry.

My pike blocks are based around six figure (45mm x 45mm) stands. I use 9 stand, 12 stand, 15 - 16 stand, 20 stand, or at largest 36 stand squares. I usually give pike squares a unit of shot (typically 16 figs) if they are Italian or 12 stands or over.

The WotR cavalr are stand ins. They are really too early for this battle, but I need 15 units and I only have 13 units of Gendarmes painted so far. For 1495 you might, at a pinch, be able to use them but not here (1515) really. They should look like these but, needs must...

Hope that helps.

James

Here's my book list - mostly dry tomes I'm afraid

For flavour, there is the Borgias TV series.

Olicana, congratulations on a very thorough list.  For an understanding of the Spanish Army (albeit not in Italy), I would include:

The Army of Flanders and the Spanish Road, 1567-1659: The Logistics of Spanish Victory and Defeat in the Low Countries' Wars, by Geoffrey Parker
