Thanks folks! My final (for now) addition to the squat pirate crew is essentially a flying skull and crossbones. They needed some sort of vehicle, and as the Action Force roboskull toy was too expensive, I made something similar from a GW tape measure and Star Wars pod racer toy.

Loads more pics over at my blog.

:o Wow, those pocket pirates are building up a serious arsenal! Great fun. Nice in to see some in-game shots on the blog too.  8)

Those components together have no right to be so awesome, but they absolutely are!!  :-*

The best use of that tapemeasure I've ever seen, and the paintjob is excellent as always. Just imagine seeing that thing bearing down on you and your defenseless sump barge...

Time to get back to the Confrontation dogskin gang with a final pair of figures. This time it's a heavy and tracker / sniper type ganger.

The heavy was made from a Grenadier barbarian hero:

And the ganger is a de-ratted Necromunda ratskin:

Here's the gang all together:

Really enjoyed making these guys! More words and pics over at my blog.

Looks great, the animal skull mask is a nice touch bringing it more into the tecnhobarbarian style.

Great looking gang and lovely work all round.

Despite having owned that Ratskin and looking at it a million times I never twigged that was the base model of your conversion, cracking job.

Those conversions look seamless well done, removing the axe must have been hard. His little fingers look perfectly fine in the new pose.  o_o that's some good blade, saw, and putty pushing.

Thanks folks! I hadn't originally planned the skull mask, but I wanted something that would tie him to the leader (with the skull hat). It had the added bonus of making him much more menacing.

The new hand was the most fiddly part - happily the greenstuff worked on the first go!
