Probably the last one for me for 2024. I wanted some low-tech aliens, who also had unarmed civilian versions. I got these from a Kickstarter a while ago

Thanks for the kind words, guys. I like those low-tech aliens! And the Orcses, my precious...  lol

I have had these guys done for several days, but finally got a chance to take pictures of them today.

Four more survivors for my Zombie RV games. Check out my blog spot for discussion of where the figs come from and how I painted them:

Been making the most of my week off. Another unit of Orcs (these will be Shock Troops), and then some 3D prints for Guards of Traitor’s Toll - a bunch of thugs, more merchants (oops looks like some pots got knocked off the bench), and a few ‘casualty’ markers.

I had a frenzied burst of activity last week in preparation for my Viking Raid game. I got ready for the tabletop two buildings, nine peasants, four highland cattle, two oxen, and a flickering LED firepit. Whew! If I had thought of it, maybe I should have included a partridge in a pear tree...?  lol

For details about all of the above, check out my Lead Legionaries blog post here:
http://leadlegionaries.blogspot.com/2024/12/my-hurried-week-of-dark-age-town.html

This brings my 2024 total to 227 Miniatures Acquired vs. 254 Miniatures Painted. I ended up in the positive...woo-hoo!  lol

Third, and final, unit of Heavy Orcs.  Plus an Asgard Rising Druid, three also 3D printed Werewolves, and my last Otherworld miniature I still had kicking around (I have been using the farmer version of the cart driver and hadn’t painted the Wizard version).

Lots of lovely stuff here!

I have nothing to show. I've realised I haven't painted anything since February 2023. I should probably get my sh*t together.

Sounds like an excellent candidate for a New Year's resolution! If you haven't dabbled in contrast/speed paints and slap-chop, have a go. It's a quick way to get a win and start getting your eyes back in :)

Aye, I've watched a few videos, and I certainly have a big ol' lead (and plastic) mountain to tackle... I have few excuses. I'll get on with it, I promise!

Finished yesterday. My final 2024 painting: 28mm Jawas from mixed 3D printers (I tried my best to hide the height differences), painted with Contrast and Speedpaints.
