Skirmish in Grimville a Dragons Rampant AAR and Part II

PART II

Our brave heroes have traveled for southwards for days trying to get away from the evil wizard Veganus' forces. As they aproach a very dense and spooky looking forrest they encounter a man who introduces himself as Pierre the magnificent. Bard to the nobles og nobles. Currently between employment..
Pierre claims to know the way through the forrest and offers to join our heroes and lead the safely through.


As our heroes advance up the road that leads through the forrest of doom and gloom they get a weird sense that something might be wrong.


Suddenly a pack of giant spiders drop down on Pierre!


But he starts playing his guitar and sing. And that sends the spiders running. Sadly they regroup and charge again to take Pierre out.


The Gigantic spider Gleglob blocks the road.
 

But Aimon puts an arrow into one of its eyes and sends it running.


But Gleglob quickly composes itself and returns to take revenge on Aimon. Who is forced to flee.



Cronald the barbarian steps in and drives Gleglob away.


The forrest of doom and gloom is literally crawling with spiders and Ingo Sackhill who had laid low trying to stay out of trouble is spotted and promptly eaten by another pack of spiders. Or perhaps just stung and taken back to the lair!?


Aimon is also overwhelmed by a flock of spiders.


Only Cronald and Ignolin the wizard remain now. Cronald urges Ignolin to run! They have to get away from this ambush.


But Ignolin is not fast enough. He is caught by the spiders and goes down.


Cronald fights off some more spiders.


While running he spots a cave entrance. Seing that as his only hope of escape he runs towards it.


And whilst the spiders are hot on his heels he makes it to the cave where the spiders for some reason do not dare to follow...
