@fluffy05: :D Honestly, so far I put 33m 18mm-tape into this project and surely no less than 5m 10mm tape and smaller. Not that I'm the most efficient about using tape, but it's pretty crazy. Cheers on the Snow Troopers. They were a bit challenging due to them being ..well, all white. And usually the first thing I look for in a figure is "where can I generate colourful contrast?". You either are a very sick puppy or these SW:L plastics are really bad. :D Just kidding. I assume the 'resin plastic' ones are less hassle to put together. So far I painted a fair few of Atomic Mass Games' (who are doing all the formerly FFG miniatures related things now, right?) Marvel superheroes (here: https://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=129389.0), all of which are plastic. I didn't build them, but let's say I did some fixing and some gap filling/repositioning prior to painting them and they seemed like regular hard plastic kits. So I assume the Star Wars ones are along the same lines.

Bugger me that’s a lot of tape  :o

Cannot argue with the results though!

Have you got any pointers for using the tape?  I’m still very much learning by trial and error.

Do you apply a varnish to protect the paint underneath the tape?

I have some of the Marvel Crisis Protocol miniatures as well.  The hard plastic is the same as for the new Star Wars Legion.

They are very good (athough not perfect).  I love that we now have access to these models.

I used to dream of having the Star Wars miniatures.  Now as a big kid I can  :D

 :o Super work! I am in awe of those paint jobs. Also how you managed to keep the consitancy across all of the models. It is very very impressive.
I am guessing from your reference to tape, that you used an airbrush for most of it?! For the yellow did you use the GW paints range or a different manufacturer?

And the SW-L figures look great. I like the way you added in a little bit of colour on what is often painted as an all white scheme! :D

@aliensurfer: Thank you. :)

@gamer Mac: Cheers! I didn't want to rely on the combination of contrast and primary colours alone. Gotta add a little bit on top. ;)

@fluffy05: Cheers! Nope, no varnish in between. I'm using the tape by Tamiya now, which isn't exactly cheap, but it's got a nice combination of sticky strength (that's the technical term, I believe) and being thin enough to pretty easily form around details and cut it along them.

@majorsmith: Thanks very much! The designs are really strong.

@LazyStudent: Thank you! Yeah, consistency is a big deal with projects like this one. Yup, I made heavy use of the airbrush on these. In general I was told that I use the airbrush rather sparingly compared to others, but these models certainly call for an airbrush job. For the yellow I think I used 6 different yellows. :D By Vallejo Model Air (for the base colour and initial shading, P3 (yellow ink), Schmincke (for glazes and more subltle shading, Scalecolor (for highlights by brush), some of them mixed with white at some point or another. Yeah, on the SW:L figures I was pretty relieved when I saw the FFG studio paintjobs, which made pretty wild use of colours on the snow troopers. I think I toned that down a little bit whilst still keeping a certain variety. In the end they're less pure-white than Stormtroopers, now that I think of it. But then again, Snowtroopers have to wear all sorts of protective coats and socks and whatnot, all of which are made from cloth, cloth will always look off-white rather than pure white, and so on. So it's all good.

Fantastic, a really solid body of work. That subtle pattern in the blue is excellent.

@Codsticker: Aye, I wasn't familiar with them either. Seems like they're a whole warrior aspect of airplane pilots. No doubt they're all Lord Flashheart in appearance and manners. :D

@hubbabubba: Thanks very much! Given how I was to use a very classic colour scheme on a LOT of vehicles I went with a very classic look. Can't beat contrasting primary colours slapped onto the nice shape of an Eldar vehicle.

@Andym: Cheers. :) The red and black is a breeze to paintcompared to the yellow too. :D

@OSHIROmodels: Thanks very much, Sir!

Right, here's the rest of the pictures now!
