We helped a friend play test their English Civil War game scheduled for an upcoming convention. I had never heard of the Battle of Severn, not being much of an ECW buff. Interesting that it was actually fought in the colonies on shores of America.

[ I had never heard of the Battle of Severn

In my first year in the SK (Sealed Knot, ECW re-enactment) I went with the SK to the Colonies (USA  )
Talking to the American re-enacters we found out about the Battle of the Severn. 'Why aren't we doing that?'
we asked.  Turned out they were told that the 'Brits' were insisting in doing a small part of Naseby battle.
We had been told that the Americans were insisting on Naseby. Someone(s) up high thought they knew best. 
It would have been fantastic to do the Severn, on American soil with about the right numbers. One of the
Americans even had a copy of the flag used. 

As an aside,  fed up with silly questions about 'THE Civil War' (e.g. Union or Confederate?) I heard one Brit tell
an inquisitor, 'We're the provisional wing of the Amish'

I got to play a game of Odin's Ravens: Viking Age Bad Boys.  The game is a model-vs-model skirmish game that can be played solo, versus, or co-op.  There is even a campaign too.

Last sunday we had a 2v2 game of WHFB 8th edition. Dwarfs + Lizardmen VS Ogres + Dark Elves

Tons of fun, multiplayer is definitely the best way to play Warhammer
