[ I had never heard of the Battle of SevernQuoteIn my first year in the SK (Sealed Knot, ECW re-enactment) I went with the SK to the Colonies (USA )Talking to the American re-enacters we found out about the Battle of the Severn. 'Why aren't we doing that?'we asked. Turned out they were told that the 'Brits' were insisting in doing a small part of Naseby battle. We had been told that the Americans were insisting on Naseby. Someone(s) up high thought they knew best. It would have been fantastic to do the Severn, on American soil with about the right numbers. One of the Americans even had a copy of the flag used. As an aside, fed up with silly questions about 'THE Civil War' (e.g. Union or Confederate?) I heard one Brit tellan inquisitor, 'We're the provisional wing of the Amish'
