Looking good, mate.

Progressing very nicely, but.....

....working on it on a Monday morning?
 :o :o

Is this 'slipped disk' real, or just an excuse to get a week off of work so you can work on the building?
I think you have been rumbled, sir.
 ;D

in fact the secret to succeed in a building like this is to make him lie in his bed with a hot water bottle  lol

Ok. So it's now ready for rendering. All joins have been masked off and sealed. Don't ask me why I do it. It makes the edges sharper, you don't see the joins so easily and I believe it's stronger and more chip resident. I have no idea if it works, but have done it e very time so am not going to stop now. lol

Rendering tomorrow :)

I do the same with the masking tape and I'm equally unsure if it makes a difference,  but I don't dare not doing it!

Most cool  8)

Question: why do you add the main gates after rendering?
My LAF Gallery is HERE
Minis (foot & mounted) finished in 2025 = 74
(2024 = 38; 2023 = 151; 2022 = 204; 2021 = 123; 2020 = ???)

After rendering I sand all the rendered surfaces to give a smooth finish. I don't like the finish if it's too rough.
There is less chance of damaging any gates etc and also it's easier and qucker to render a flat surface than work around gate posts. The doors and windows have to go in before though as they are sunk into the surface. :)

Looks great Nick,I can also see Texians defending this against Mexican regulars too,a mini Alamo if you will, the new scaling ladder troops will be great,I wonder if the minis ladders be long enough though . I guess they will, you would have taken all this into account beforehand   ;) :)
Great build  :-*
