Looking good arget.

Glad you got those Newlines. I've been having technical difficulties again with getting photos taken, but those Franks you saw in my photos were GB. I'll try to get some photos of them taken when we get back from holiday on the 6th but it may be too late for you by then if not already now.

I like those elites, keep them coming.

I've got to finish up my comitatus and my Gallo-Romans are done (horses are painted based and flocked, just the riders to do) but, thanks to Byrnoth's post, I got distracted with some 10mm that he inspired me to order (I've been able to pop out one stand/unit a day and almost have a nice sized Italian field army done in two weeks, wow, what a great scale!)

Here's my Franks painted and based up until this point. I've got some Frankish lords and some warriors for both factions on the painting table at the moment, hopefully done soon.









I've got some more Franks that I'm even more pleased with on the workbench right now. I hope to have them painted and based by the end of next week along with a few more Romans.

Thanks guys! Here are a few more guys. First up we have the last two of the generic Roman types. Bringing me up to twelve. From here I'll be adding six to twelve each of Romano-British specific (with check patterns) and Gallo-Roman specific (with stripes and more Roman looking clothes). After the first two, it's the start of my Gallo-Romans with the first two warriors complete.

Here are the next four Frankish warriors. They are all converted from Footsore miniatures. The red and white guy is a converted Roman and the rest are from the Goth line. I think I'm starting to get the hang of the hair now, but these pictures really show off the flaws in my painting of the flesh. Oh well, my goal is continual improvement. By the time I get around to doing the Irish and Picts, I'd like to have a solid process that doesn't take ages.

Ok guys, I'm trying my hand at some more serious sculpting and conversions here. Two more Franks to start with, one from a Goth and one from an Attecotti Pict. Both minis are Footsore. I'm hoping to have them and some other guys done shortly, but I have to wait to basecoat these until they're cured. I'm struggling with delicate parts, like the belt buckle and braids. I would appreciate any pointers that people have.

Thank you Richard, I should hopefully have a few more guys ready to go soonish. I'm attempting  big batch paint of about twenty or so right now to try to increase my painting speed, but I tend to paint pretty slowly. I'm trying not to rush out this batch like the last ones as I was not terribly pleased with the faces on the last few guys.
