Osprey Louisbourg book
« on: 29 September 2017, 11:20:43 PM »
I recently visited the Fortress of Louisbourg on Cape Breton Island. I hope to put together a blog post once the photos get organized.

This has me interested in the Osprey book about the siege. It is available as a Kindle book. Are the maps of the fortress itself very good? If so I'll look for a hard copy. If they aren't wonderful, I could get the e-book with a click. Maps and such on e-books tend not to show up all that well.

If anyone has the book, please let me know what you think of the fortress maps.
And the glorious general led the advance
With a glorious swish of his sword and his lance
And a glorious clank of his tin-plated pants. - Dr. Seuss

We were at Louisbourg in 2016.  Until you see it in person you really don't get a feel of how big the place is.

This siege was a very significant historical event, eagerly waiting for your pics!
