Thank you both. :)
We have a new figure pack called 'Everything but the Goose', which includes a small statue of a Gold Monkey that would be a great plot point to have in the cave behind the waterfall on your first table!
That is excellent. The inspiration for the table came from the episode with the waterfall and the killer monkeys.

I know, I recognized it from the first picture you'd posted with the raw carved blocks. Having made the miniatures for the series, I've become a big fan. I'm currently about a group of 10 of the Lucid Eye Simians to use as the killer monkeys in the same Pulp Alley game!

I hadn't even heard of the series until David mentioned to me as a source of inspiration when we started discussing this project for Trumpeter's. I have only watched what I could find of that episode on YouTube.

I had not heard of it until backers selected it to make a pack of figures from on our last kick starter.
I got the DVD box set from Amazon for not very much. It is very Pulpy!

Thank you Mr.Phipps. :)

I have added some street scatter: some Fenris Games trash cans, pallets, man hole covers and fire hydrants:

The scatter terrain is certainly worthwhile in terms of making the table set up 'pop'.

Thank you Elk.  :)

Having scrapped my idea for a water table, I have flipped the plywood over so I can make a remote airstrip. Not too many features on this table; a Quonset hut to start with.

Your moving on to a board that'll interest many Pulp heads.(myself included  :D) So I'd definitely recommend you give this board its own thread.
Because everyone wants to be able to throw a Pulp airfield together.otherwise its likely to be missed
Have you considered the Sarissa  German control tower as (for me) its got more of an art deco feel than the British version.

Mark.

I think a Pulp airstrip thread would be a great idea. It does come up quite a bit so would likely attract a bit of interest.

Thanks guys. The inspiration for it came from a trip I took to the west coast of Vancouver Island with a friend who was getting hours in for his pilots license. We landed on a strip that had been built during WW2. It was nearly 30 years ago so my memory of it is foggy but there wasn't any buildings left, just a lot of cracked tarmac with grass growing up.

BTW, Pulp Alley was well represented at Trumpeter's Salute in Vancouver this past weekend. Wirelizard's game was very popular and our's was well attended. More on my blog.

I would love to but Murdock can't make it and he is the one who runes the games. :(
