I'll be doing four gaming scales for my Star Wars games. 28mm, 1:144 (10mm), 1:350 and 1:1000.

I've got loads of photos of the 28mm but I'm still sorting through them so for now I'll post the 10mm stuff I've got so far. The figures are from Pendraken (sci-fi range for the 'not' stormtroopers and Falklands war Argentinians for the Rebels). Thanks go to Mick in Switzerland for the heads upon the 10mm proxies. Vehicles are from the Bandai Star Wars Vehicle Line Up range apart from the Rebel command speeder which is scratch built mainly from an upturned y-wing cockpit interior.

Still terrain to do and it'll be Mos Eisley style and I'll be casting them up to make it easier to have a full scale town (they might even make an appearance on the website catalogue). I'll also do some smaller terrain in the form of crate piles and broken starships etc.

Vehicles are mounted on 40mm bases and the infantry on 25mm

On to the pictures, Imps first

And then the Rebels

The Rebels actually look like American WWII GI's (well to my eyes) but I haven't taken that much time on them as I’d be there for an age painting the details on.

cheers

James

Hi James

Very nice work there as usual  :D

I'm interested in this scale as well or maybe slightly smaller Xwing scale so more 6mm I suppose.

I have some of the bits from the old AMT kits for Hoth  :)

But I wondered if you had seen this?

Thanks chaps  :)

Matt, I've seen the ground version of x-wing but I'm afraid x-wing isn't my favorite rules set (too many counters and things to remember). What scale is the Ertl kit 1/00?

6mm would be a good scale as the figures would be more forgiving for proxies  :)

The scale varies a bit but basically,
Troops are 1/144 skinny 10mm. The Airspeeders vary from both sets 1/200 and 1/160.  DF9 Turrets 1/144 walkers 1/220. AT ST 1/300.
Xwings 1/260 and Millennium Falcon Is about 1/240 but Ywing are tuby cockpit 1/300. Rebel transport a tuby 1/375.

As with a lot of models from that period it's very ish scale wise but works.
For Xwing I use sheet print outs with dry wipe pens to cut down on cards and counters on the table.

Hope that helps sir  :)

Cheers Matt

It does, thank you  :)

Start a thread when you do the 6mm, I'd be interested to see it  8)

Great finish on those vehicles, are they airbrushed?

Hi James

I found the old models when I got home and put a tape measure next to them and a quick look on Wookieepedia I changed the sizes above  ;)

Nope, just inked over the raw plastic then drybrushed. Cheating I know but I want them done as quick as possible.

Ah, certainly more suitable for X-wing  8)

I'll be doing my own turrets and whatnot and also looking at acrylic stat sheets for the vehicles as I've started (albeit limitedly ) on a simple set of home brew rules.

Time to start another Star Wars thread  :)

I think you can risk it now  :)

The vehicles look great.

Argentinians. Who’d have thought it.

Star Wars has always been a "when", not so much an "if" for me.  I know I'll get around to it some day.  It's one of the few IPs I think I'd consider in a smaller scale, though 28mm would be fine of course.  Can't wait to see where this goes.

Thanks gents  :)

Should hopefully start in terrain this weekend.

I know I'll get around to it some day.

I hope it’s sooner rather than later  :)
