A gray wanderer, some say he is the keeper of the secret flame of Arnor!

...and an unknown lord from Eire, methinks, loyal to Arthur but also wordbound to his kinsmen!

Ulfric, a Saxon Lord. My most recent achievement is again one of the magnificent Copplestone Northerners.

I loved the wizardry series of rpgs as a kid and here is the closest I found to a 15mm mook. It’s actually a mutated goblin from the citadel preslotta times.

Good to see that old chaos goblin - one of the best ranges Citadel ever did, I reckon. Nice work on him!

Thank you! Those Chaos Goblins are indeed some of the best minis GW ever made, and it’s such a shame that they never got continued.

Here are some more exploits of a week where it was far too hot to do anything else than sitting in beergardens and painting minis!

An old mini from an unknown manufacturer. He makes a brilliant beastie. Reminded me of MOTU Beastman and therefore I went for yellowish-orange colors.

And a scale shot of the Greene Knight approached by an orcish knight.

Here are some minis I have already shown, but this picture is slightly better.

A spear-armed warrior of the Fae and an axe-armed warrior. I originally had something like a knight from Rome (in an anachronistic sense like in many King Arthur stories) in mind, but now I am vry much seeing a certain resemblance to the Avatar from Ultima VI - one of my all time favorite computer games.

The Green Knight works really well! I couldn't quite see how he would until you posted that scale shot, but he looks terrific.

The beastie is Citadel's Man-Beast, from this range. I also have him based up for 15mm, though I've yet to paint him.

Hmmm...the picture doesn’t want to be attached to the post it belongs to...well here are the promised models.

Oh thank you. That range looks promising also for future ebay grabs.

The Greene Knight lay on my painting table for ages and I never had an idea what to do with him. I don’t really collect 25mm models and do not have a large knight collection either.

When I got this urge to paint pseudo-Arthurian knights in 15mm (just finished Lyonesse btw - amazing!), I looked at him again and remembered that John Howe picture from long long ago. When I then put him next to the Demonworld minis, it was spot on.

Long time, no post....here is some progress. I finished some Fantasy-Saxon raiders/Chaos Barbarians. Models are from the Demonworld range and were lovely sculpts.

...and some Fae characters which have been on the desk for some time.
They are smallish 28s which IMO fit perfectly as demigods in 15mm.

Cool stuff! Who makes that "Beastman" character? Looks ace in 15mm.
