And so nearly a year later I’m back with Barons’ War.

In fact, for the last few months I’ve watched with increasing envy as Malamute has added to his own forces, but I’d not had the room to paint minis and work on a lot of terrain at the same time.
Basically I’ve switched my primary terrain choice to a greener ‘September in Essex’ theme, as can be seen in my ECW thread here:

There are images in the above thread that give an idea of some of the terrain pieces I can now choose from.
I had decided to rebase my existing collection of thatched cottages to become labourers’ housing for the ECW hamlet and though I will still use it for that, it’s primary use will now be in the Barons’ War.
A Medieval Village would have looked something like this (note the strip gardens behind the houses):

I haven’t (as yet.... it’s still remotely possible) added these rear gardens as I’ve gone for more of a film set look. This is what my village looked like on page 1 of this thread, comprising as it did of stand-alone buildings that had yet to be reworked:
