a little bit off Topic but GW, too

There is some GW stuff that can be easely used for a Weird War game. This here is a Sentinel i painted some time ago for my it-will-be-never-finished Imperial drop troops army.

 Unfourtunatly i glued the weapon instead of making it changeable. At least the paintjob fits.

Perhaps its a good idea to rebuild it from scratch and to let it look more like an sdkfz 250 like in Gear Krieg.

Agis Neugebauer did something like that in his Gear Krieg section...

But maybe we should create another topic to talk about Gear Krieg and the Panzerkampfers...

Hey all!

This is my first post :) Thanks Prof. Witcheimer for getting me invloved and hosting this forum!  I am always looking for a good forum to join!

That is indeed my walker leg, originally built for Gear Krieg. I also have the main body done here:

http://www.blackbirdmedia.org/miniatures/?view=armies&which=gk

In any case, since I can't really afford the time to build the 5+ of these that I would need for GK, so I created some rules for the Chain Reaction skirmish system, specifically NUTS! (a WWII skirmish game from Two Hour Wargames). So, a mod for NUTS! to bring it into the Gear Krieg universe and let me get away with painting fewer miniatures and building fewer walkers!

I will post updates when I get the rules playtested :)

btw,off topic,  like your Corsair Ship too, great piece!

Hey again :)

That walker is bigger than your typicaly 40k walker, but not too much!  That is why I included a figure in the above picture of the leg!  I will likely finish that walker soon, and I will post some pics before I paint it so that you can see the finished product!

Thanks for the Corsair Ship comment! I am pretty happy with it, but the paint job isn't as good as it could be... I could make a list that was miles long of all the stuff on your site that I particularily like :)  But, I especially like those Soviets and your Norse Barbarian army!

That is very good...  And it is 1/48th scale too isn't it?  I find that 1/48th scale works as long as the height of the figs isn't obvious (since this is a walker and the commander's legs are hidden) because 28mm figs typically have 1/48th scale proportions (not height, but proportions...  See this pic for an example: http://www.blackbirdmedia.org/miniatures/?view=armies&which=soviet&pic=3 That is a 1/48th scale commander there).

Anyway, looking forward to this release. I may have to pick it up and use it for my German forces!

I wouldn't wait too long :) (see below) I've ordered one already

Stve Mussared - "we are only casting up 20 of these from the Master moulds - purely because some of you (I include myself in that number!) have been asking if it will
ever be made available - it will never go into a Production mould -
and so will never have a general release.
Some of you have already pre-ordered the model, but there are 5 still
left - and up for grabs - £25 - I myself have bagged 3 - one with the
pilot shown, one will have a Female Pilot, and the last one will be a
Zombie - in a suitably run down Walker!"

I finished the basic build of this walker. It is a Soviet g-27 based on an illustration in one of dp9's Gear Krieg books...  But, to be honest, it will never be used for Gear Krieg...  I actually sold all of my Gear Krieg books! Anyway, as I said before I have developed walker rules for NUTS! and will use it with those!  Anwyay, here is my WIP:

Hi Neldoreth,

this is a very beautiful model.
What if you put some equipment on top of the walker. Barrels, sandbags,  a bycicle or camo equipment like they did on Tanks.

wow, talk about a multi-media kit!  what didnt you sue to make that  :)

It looks really good.  I agree that roughing it up with some odds and ends will make it look really awesome.  I would like to see a bike strapped to the side.  For that jsut in case situation where you need to run for more fuel or something.
