Every so often something gives my productivity a kick up the a**e.
Most recently that has been the start of Casevil (medieval campaign)

Here are six border horse mounted on sturdy fell ponies.
They are Lammings & a friend (JC) started the work on them, then passed them to me...
half a CENTURY later, I have finished them. :o

Right that is done!

Another of our group, Dave, has taken me up on the offer of figures for Casevil

however despite having three file-boxes of figures to get him figures, there is a marked shortage
of archers, so... some creative thinking & I have four for him.

In the Lead Mountain, sub section Medieval Hillock, were a number of second hand
figures that had seen better days. Their original paint job was reasonable, but with
some bumps & scrapes. Weapons were bent or lost, also the bases (card & I assume
plaster) had been exposed to quite a bit of damp.
The Casevil 'project'

has encouraged me to turn these figures into table ready troops.
Here we have the Kings right hand man, and Enforcer, the Bishop of Itsda & his retinue.
769=The retinue
770, 771= The Black Friars (The Brothers named after family brothers)
772, 773 = The Mounted troops (The Bishop refers to them as the 4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse.
774,775 = The Bishop (Mounted & Dismounted, plus Standard bearer)

The rest of the retinue in close up.
776,777, 778= The 'Judges' named after judges from the Old Testament. I have 6, there are more
names. I haven't made up my mind as to whether they have lost some, or I will
                       add more later.
779,780,781,782 = The 'Faithful' disciples. No Peter or Judas as they both betrayed Jesus.

So, if players get to uppity in the campaign, the king might send in someone, most likely
The Bishop of Itsda, yes...

ITSDA  BISHOP !!!!  lol lol lol

Nice reclamation project.  Peter did return to the team eventually... so his name could remain in play.
Painted:  2024: 170; 2023: 37; 2022: 56

True, and they held a vote  to see who, out of several possible people, would replace Judas,
so I could bring the unit up to 12. That might be needed, as Vodkafan likes 12 figure units,
& I play a lot of games against him. >:D

How can you not have Deborah?

As stated, this is a revamp of second hand figures, there was no possible Deborah. :'(
However, she (& maybe others) could well be added. I will be keeping an eye out
for possible/suitable figure(s).

Behold! Sir Richard Perrers & his retinue.
More recruits for our Casevil medieval campaign.

https://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=141051.msg1798611#msg1798611

These too were obtained second hand, painted (reasonably) but not looked after well.
With this unit of spears my first task was to remove the cocktail stick 'spears'. I kid
you not. Repairs, a tart up & complete rebasing later they are table ready.

I originally intended them to be for one of the players, as I had told them they didn't
need to paint anything, but (the lovely darlings) all seem to want their own retinues.
Sir Richard may well turn up on the island at some stage. An interloper, hit man for
the King, ship got lost, or some other reason. Nice to have a reserve.

Thank you James. How is your retinue coming along?
