While the heights of them vary between the Nolzur's line giants, they're on 3" bases if that helps...

At a guess then, about 7"/175mm. Maybe a little more with the fancy helmet!

Whatever the actual number is, I think you're right to question the term 'mini'!

By my measuring, he's about 5.5" to the top of his head, 6" to the top of the crest. A big lad for sure.

Partial army shot as I lined up the foces to play a game of Oathmark in my living room.

2500 pts, scenario was Lost in the Hills from Oathbreakers, the first scenario of three in an expedition to conquer a mystic tower.

The game was very interesting, with a lot of rough terrain on the table but very little that blocked line of sight. To add to the confusion we got to deploy each others armies! I smacked my opponents catapult in a far of corner, and he countered by placing my Human heavy cavalry in the opposite corner. Otherwise the armies mostly just spread out on a random line as we had fairly narrow deployment zones. In the end my heavy cav with Blade Master on them were able to roll up one flank supported by some very accurate Mounted Rangers, while my Ogres and Soldiers did a decent enough job at holding of some Elf Cavalry and Dwarf Warriors on the other flank. Won the game on points and got to add a Mountain Pass to my kingdom.

Good to see them altogether. It’s a real achievement  8)

Did you ever paint the rangers? They were such nice builds.

Ah, no, they lament unpainted on the shelf. Maybe some day.

That is quite the force - I like the choices of colours and the consistent basing. They seem like they would be a tough force in battle, enough solid infantry to hold a battle line as well as enough cavalry to respond flexibly. In other words, a good combined arms mix.

From the sound of your description of the battle, they performed pretty well!

Did up another little Human Linebreaker, that is a heavily armoured warrior with a two-handed weapon, for Oathmark from the Frostgrave demon kit. Quite happy with this guy, but I will need to tidy up the greenstuff on the handle once it cures. Arms are Perry, greatsword is Frostgrave soldiers, head from Fireforge templars, body from Frostgrave Demons.

What do you think?

Cool kitbash. The sword handle seems a bit long, but I wouldn't worry about it.

What are your thoughts on mounted archers in Oathmark? I haven't used them in a game yet. They seem quite expansive and and don't have the same bonus as a unit of footsloggin archers. Only bonus I can see so far is their speed, so maybe they could be used to flank&shoot the enemy line?

I am a little ambivalent on them. The speed is very nice, but as you say they lack the punch of a big unit of foot archers. They have been great in some of my games and terrible in others.

If your opponent likes to use artillery then they are a nice response to that. They can also be used to take out Spellcasters. They are expensive for general use though

Yes, you can harrass vulnerable and valuable units with them. Against an 8-9 defense a single line can be enough, and they can avoid close combat. But I still think that they are too expensive (especially by the elves).
