Great foray back into your fantasy project. Those are great prints and you've done a cracking paintjob on them. One of the many woes of Brexit is that accessing continental vendors is now a colossal pain :( Enjoy the most of the (comparatively) easier access! Really like the terrain in particular, super evocative.

Thanks mates!

Tyr, I have certainly been looking more at European sellers recently, as ordering from the UK is now a hassle ;) There are some cool products available for sure.

Another day, another monster. This is the Giant Ape from Wizkids, lovely huge and cheap plastic mini:

Today's work is a pair of standing stones made out of xps and some real rocks from the roadside. Might use these as Oathmarks or just, you know, terrain.

It seems it is a weekend for finishing random bits and bobs. I have had these Rangers of Shadow Deep Ogres from North Star for a good while, but my first go at painting them failed. I had washed the resin, sprayed it with varnish and then painted it with my usual Vallejo brush on primer but it was no good, I had pooling and paint refused to stay where I put it. I ended up setting them aside in frustration.

Last week though, I went back to these and gave them a good long bath in a cleaning soap (similar to PineSol I guess) adn when they came out they got a solid coat of black spray primer. This did the trick and they painted up very well, nice and clean sculpts that they are.

Shown here together with the 15mm Copplestone Frost Giant I had painted earlier, as I think the three together would make a nice unit.

What do you think? Any good ideas for names for these lads?

blimey - they've come out a real treat - great paint jobs. brilliant sculpts in the first place; work well with the Copplestone one.

Those are well done- it’s nice to see the Shadow Deep ogres with some paint. I also have the guy who is leaning on his club. You’ve inspired me to put some paint on him sooner rather than later!

Thanks guys!

As I said, it was a weekend for finishing old things. These three kitbashes have been waiting for paint for a long time now. Two of them you can see earlier in the thread while the last one never got his photo taken in the grey. Some real old components on that fella.

I finished this model before the other three, but forgot to include him in the photo session. Fixed that today.

This guy also made an appearance earlier in the thread, Oathmark body with Fireforge peasant arms and a Victrix head and cloak.
