Yeah keep up at the back! ;) Siku 50 pallets £2.50 Bargain! :D (Individually sticking them to cardboard using double sided paint and painting each individual one was fun though I can tell you! :D)

Overall effect is great though, you''ll see them on the game review later

Looks great Commander. Now all you need is a library for those lions to lie in front of.

I think you should paint a pair of lions coloured as oxidized copper too. Just went by a pair that looked completely like these but made out of copper (cuprum).

Don't you think it's bronze (which, of course, contains copper)?

It's the Lion's Mall, (play on words a little) so good where they are bud.

Ok people, move out! tight formation.... and keep quiet!

At my 10 and my 2 o'clock marine, civilian helos. Think we can get to them?

Well it beats staying in this shopping mall for another week sir, we really need to break through this time, I don't think we could hold out for much longer sir.

Lt. Harris knew that this would be their last chance. Speed would be their greatest weapon. The Humvees were too noisy, too big and the roads too blocked with vehicles and wrecks. No this would have to be the old fashioned way, on foot, 'knee deep in it' he muttered.

Ok gear up, this is what we're going to do...

UVA confirms two civilain helo's across the city, one on the apartment block and one ontop of the medical centre. Both appear intact and reasonably secure. All other routes out of this area of the city are compromised, by air is the only option.

The Players:

Squad Alpha and Squad Theta:

Alpha: Four man fire team automatic weapons (primary) side arms (secondary) NBC gear
Theta: Four man fire team 3 automatic weapons 1 SAW 1 RPG (secondary) side arms NBC gear.

Objective:

Squads must make their way on foot to the buildings, enter, secure one or both helos and evac.

Both squads move out low and quiet, zombie numbers have significantly reduced through lack of human presence, but there are still groups of zeds present and the potential for more to be drawn in by noise and gunfire.

The squads easily and efficiently despatch a number of zeds before getting into a 'situation'. The pressure of the last few weeks holed up in the mall have taken their toll and squad Alpha's aim is let's just say 'off target'. As a result there's plenty of gunfire and very little outcome.

Add to this some very unpleasant cards (three black cards in a row) and all of a sudden the city is a lot fuller!

Both squads pull back from the centre route (blowing up a few gas tanks for good measure) and move to the right flank around the garage.

More later

The dead are on the move:

Both squads move to the right of the gas station and find themselves bogged down.

With plenty of zombies between them and the helo's

Some very nasty close combat sees one of Squad Alpha go down and one man from each squad take a wound.

The RPG is fired into the taxi behind the subway entrance, direct hit and clears out 15 zombies. The path is clear for a quick exit....

Black card: zombie spawn point is activated and the dead pour out of the subway!

Things are starting to get interesting...

Your board is truly an inspiration!

I'd like to do something similar.
I haven't yet decided on scratch-building with foam board or cork mat, or perhaps using pdf scenery glued to boxes or foam board.
I need to do some research first, on where I can find foam board in Sweden and to what prices.

You can find foamboard in art- and office supply shops here in sweden. Not exactly cheap but affordable.
