They look brilliant! Pretty big, nasty meanies. Love the idea and the size is just spot on.

I agree with DivisMal, your oliphants (oliphantry?) are spot on scale wise. Your Pelennor Fields games are going to look epic.
Those Fighting15s Late Roman archers also work really well as Rohan light cav. Thoroughly enjoying this project. There's something very old school about marshalling historical minis into fantasy armies.

"Southward beyond the road lay the main force of the Haradrim, and there their horsemen were gathered about the standard of their chieftain. And he looked out, and in the growing light he saw the banner of the king, and that it was far ahead of the battle with few men about it. Then he was filled with a red wrath and shouted aloud, and displaying his standard, black serpent upon scarlet, he came against the white horse and the green with great press of men; and the drawing of the scimitars of the Southrons was like
a glitter of stars."

Hello All,

The command unit of my Haradrim army is complete.  These are Legio Heroica crusader era figures.  The figures are wonderful, simply wonderful.  I was really sad to glue the kite shields onto the soldiers covering up all the nice armor detail.

The unit showcases my plan for the army, using red highlights and yellow/sand for the shields.

I was very pleased.  Please enjoy and thank you

A detailed shot of the commander and my fingers.  at least I washed.

Very good choice - also refreshingly different from most interpretations. Great paintjob on those riders.

Edit: and one more things. I love the heraldics. That serpent is nicely abstract and not the usual fantasy „kitsch“. Very 👍 nice!

Lovely choice of army colours for those Haradrim - great shade of pink

I feel strangely tranquil after seeing those bases.

They do look lovely. You could use them too for Saga and such games.

Hello All,

One more Haradrim cavalry unit is complete, hurray!

I used the Bedouin figures from Legio Heroica to represent a unit of Light cavalry.  Once again, the figures are wonderful.

I am really enjoying how the red/yellow/black theme is working through the units.  A fantasy army that still feels linked to the real world.  One more unit to mounted Haradrim to go.

Please enjoy and thanks

Perfect miniatures and perfect color choice, great addition. I really have to start painting my more Tolkien inspired lead pile.  :-*

Hello All,

Very pleased to announce the last Haradrim mounted unit is completed.  These are once again Legio Herorica miniatures, they are excellent figures - high praise, I also have a few Old Gory Slavic cavalry to fill in the ranks.  Those are the ones with the felt hats.

This is a heavy cavalry unit to charge into the ranks of Rohan.   I now move onto the foot units of the army.

Thank you and please enjoy.

Awesome figures! Those totally fit how I imagined the Haradrim when I read the novel.
