Hello All,
Here are a few odds and ends for D&D that have been recently painted.
Our adventuring party is up near Icewind dale. I wanted a white dragon to throw at them for a random encounter. This is the White dragon from Splintered light miniatures.

I was still searching for a truly menacing bear mini in 15mm. I ordered the Copplestone castings cave bears and they are impressive and wonderful sculpts. They are as big as ogre in size. I painted this one as a brown bear for our poor character who is cursed as a werebear. But one more of these will very much act as my Beorn model. It will be painted up as an impressive black bear.

I needed something for the dwarf cleric to represent his spiritual weapon. My options in 15mm were very limited as lose weapons in this scale are not common. I also wondered if it would be too small to handle. Thoughts of gluing a small 15mm hammer to a base was making my head hurt.
Then, I had this very clever (IMHO) idea. I would represent the weapon as a actual spiritual warrior wielding a magic weapon. I grabbed one my my spare dwarfs (I have way too many) with a two handed axe and painted him up as a summoned warrior. I made the weapon golden to represent the radiant energy. In its first outing on the roleplay table it beat up quite a few goblins.
"While searching the ruins for a lost dwarven artifact our cleric is ambushed by goblins. He summons a spirit warrior to even the odds..."

A close up of the pair. Sing with me "Me an my buddddyyy..."

I might have gotten the idea from my recent viewing of Big trouble in Little China, when the wizards duel with animated warriors.

As always Thank you and Enjoy
