Those Paras you've finished there look very good.  So do the drop canisters.

Tin Shed Gamer's remarks inspired me to stroll through 1sr Corps' website again.  I may have to think about adding some to my very long and quite winding painting queue...

Well…painting goes on a pace, this time the command unit with an additional PIAT support option

And a second section

One more section to go…..

And then, I will have to start with the smocks all over again as I also have a 6lbr at gun and a Vickers team to do.

I have also scraped together enough minis for a support option section…though I dare say it will hardly ever touch the table, and I hopefully have a few jeeps on the horizon.

Edit:  better pics me thinks.

Cheers fellas.   Hopefully have a fully playable force in the next day or so.

Better light pic of the models me thinks.

Jamie threw me a curve ball today and let me have some Artizan paras for a great price.   He knows I’m not happy with the skinny appearance of the Warlord metals….these are a little heavier set so now I’m going to redo a few supports and swap in some Artizan into the platoon.   As you know from my German units, I’m not afraid of mixing metal and plastic.

Also, arrived home to find both a small warlord order, comes jeep and jeep with trailer, plus these really great little prints.   They are close enough to the warlord jeep so as to blend well.   Ok, they still have windshield but I can live past that, however, the figures will need head swaps and I can add a few bits of clutter to the minis to make them fit better with the warlord plastics.   I also have some k Gus coming to add a littl3 firepower to th3 jeeps on those that are without.   But for the price, pretty cool.

So had a quick play around with the printed jeeps.  The print quality is superb.   The helmeted heads in particular though we’re not great so head swaps needed there.  Also, the figures were a little devoid of detailed clutter….so spare pouches, water bottles and grenades took care of that.  Added a few tarps, slung back packs etc to the jeeps along with swapping out the aerials.

Actually, I’m quite surprised how much I like them.  Hopefully will get to add paint soon.

Please tell us more about the jeeps.

Where did you buy the printed jeeps?

Did you have to buy the STLs and then find a printer?

Are they resin SLA prints or filament FDM?

I bought on eBay from Badger 3d….£15 for the three, ready printed in resin.  They also do a cut down Morris and 6lbr.

They look like Eskice Miniatures to me. I have the files, just need time to print them.

Those jeeps are stunning and such a good price - they will even do them in 20mm which suits me - thank you so much for suggesting Badger 3D they have loads of really nice minis at good prices - great find.

Love your minis... keep 'em coming...

No worries, cheers fellas.

So, the last section is painted, giving me a working platoon with a few supports!

Now I can do a few supports at leisure.  Will start with the Artizan Vickers and a couple of alternate command figures as I find these warlord metals a bit puny…..

Cracking stuff, and by coincidence, I just finished undercoating my British Airborne, mainly Artizan, and also for CoC, so this is a nice piece of eye candy inspiration.. What was your recipe for the Denison, as I like the look you have achieved there?
