May I add a suggestion to the list of “wouldn’t it be nice to have”.

Most western films have the simple flat buckboard wagon in them. Look so nice to add to my town.

Yes agreed.  ;)

Nice, no idea what I would do with it, but nice.

How does it compare in length with the long Renedra bases (230mm x 50mm)?

Yes it fits.  ;)

I was thinking of basing the lead team on a separate round or semi circle base to go round corners.

Hopefully we can get the key characters and some troopers for the classic John Ford cavalry westerns. These two are essentials

A kind of terrain piece. The logic behind this range is that all relevant characters come both mounted and dismounted. So, for example,  your figure Liberty Valance rides into town and dismounts, intent on mischief. He 'parks' his horse and moves on. However you need to mark where he left his horse as he made need to find it in a hurry. Certainly if he was robbing a bank.

So this set comes with a hitching post and two horses plus separate stirrups for you to fix as you wish. The hicthing post comes with a base so is stand alone. You can then place the horses when they are 'parked'. Or you can do as I have done in the picture and base them.

Please note that there are no reins. The ones in the picture have been added by cutting some thin paper. This also allows you to do the old cowboy trick of training your horse to stand still when you dropped the reins. Evidently they tied the reins to rocks until they were trained. So model some horses with the reins hanging straight down.

The models come un painted and unbased and without added tumbleweed.

Excellent idea, no doubt inspired by David Niven's book, 'Bring on
the empty horses'.
Many years ago someone (Connoisseur?) used to do separate ACW
saddles & my 'empty horses' use those, however my supply is sadly
depleted. Yours are tempting.

Some new releases to our Hollywood inspired western gunfight range.

We thought we needed some civilians so went for these.

Inspired by 'A Million Ways to Die in the West' by Seth MacFarlane we have reproduced four of the main characters for our first civilian pack. Seemed logical to me as its a great film and pokes fun at all the Hollywood and historic western clichés.

Characters are;

Albert the dead loss sheep farmer.

Anna the gorgeous new girl with hidden secrets.

Louise, Alberts ex girlfriend who leaves him for a more suave new
beau.

Foy the new beau with the irresistible moustache.

Brilliant!   I love the Albert mini!   My VC game has elements of 50 ways to die built in…this will be a great addition!

Hmm.  Well done, Paul.  Now that I've gone back into the Old West, some civvies would indeed be in order.  These may just do at least part of the trick.

I think you have hatched an evil plot to separate me from more of my money, between these and your Vietnam stuff... :D
