Cold War Gets Hot Battle Report - Under the cover of darkness, the Russian paratroopers had infiltrated within metres of the primary objective and quickly dispatched the Latvian infantry squad defending the petrol station. The Latvians responded quickly in an attempt to retake the village.

Cold War Gets Hot Battle Report - The Russian VDU commander called in close air support in the shape of a HIND Gunship, which immoderately engaged the Latvian T-64 MBTs to great success, but not before they were able to destroy a Russian T-80 and T-90.

Cold War Gets Hot Battle Report - Fighting from house to house, the brave Latvian infantry began to retake the village, driving off the VDU or killing them where they stood. The Russian commander requested reinforcements and Wagner PMCs were tasked with the mission to support the paratroopers.

Cold War Gets Hot Battle Report - The Latvian air observer deployed a Bayraktar TB2 attack drone to the combat zone. The drone immediately engaged the Russian AFVs to good effect, whilst the Latvian infantry surged forward and retook the fuel station.

Cold War Gets Hot Battle Report - The Russian HIND began to rack-up kills on the Latvian AFVs and without dedicated anti-air defences in the area, the gunship acted with impunity. The Russian air cover gave the attackers confidence to again converge on the primary objective.

Cold War Gets Hot Battle Report - After eliminating several Wagner AFVs approaching the village from east, the Latvian Bayraktar TB2 was also targeted by the HIND gunship which brought the drone crashing to the ground. The brave Latvian ground forces were now on their own.

It’s a combination mate, Seven Days activation and reaction rules with everything else coming from Bolt Action Moderns. It works brilliantly for modern warfare and dispenses with the annoying BA dice cluttering up the table.
