Looking for new "not" Old West figure -- mounted with sword
« on: 16 October 2020, 01:30:55 PM »
Within the last few weeks I saw a new figure mounted on a charging horse brandishing a sword. He wasn't Old West -- actually I believe he's for a fantasy game I can't recall (I thought it might be Oathmark but I can't find it) -- but he's wearing a wide brim hat and a duster.

He could be an interesting figure for Old West games.

Anyone recall this guy?

Thanks

Hi Nick --

No, that's not him, but he's cool. The one I'm thinking of is on a charging horse with the rider leaning forward.

Thanks

@Black Burt --

Nope. Not that one either.

I'm pretty sure I saw it on the Beasts of War/On Tabletop site. I was surprised it was for a fantasy game. I haven't seen it elsewhere.

I searched BoW for "horseman", "horse", "sword", and "Oathmark" with no luck.

Could it be a figure in one of Khmorg threads… he does quite a few ACW figures in greatcoat (which look a lot like later period duster);

A CANADIAN local hobby store with a small selection of historical wargames miniatures (mainly from Warlords). They also have a great selection of paint and hobby accessories from Vallejo, Army painter, AK Interactive, Green Stuff World and more.; https://tistaminis.com/

You can rule out Oathmark, there are no human cavalry models for that game released or previewed.

None of the above. The Perry one in the middle is the closest.

I may give up the search -- you guys have come up with a lot of good alternatives!

Thanks

Calimero for the win!

Although it's certainly not as dynamic as I remembered. Short-term memory going...

Thanks to all!

You can always find another horse, and reposition the arm.  :)
