Thanks again  :)

Just be aware that the tentacles are a bit of work and the ones near the 'mouth' preferably need extra pinning.

Excellent advice. Thanks.

Cheers fellas  :)

I've primed all the deep sea divers and two suits but might not get a chance to paint them anytime soon  :?

Yeah, it's a shame he doesn't do all the artillery anymore.

Here’s another little diversion for our favourite underwater Captain. This time it’s South American privateers. I’m using Perry Brazilians for the troops, crew etc but I haven’t got any painted yet  lol

I have started on a cross battery dig for them though using some of the Brigade Games digs as inspiration.

The form was drawn up in rhino as a smooth balloon and converted into a faceted ‘net’ which was cut out of 2mm mdf. I’ll be using thick card for the cladding, the panels being cut on the laser. There will be a cupola underneath at the front and a small engine room protruding at the back on top. There’ll also be a prop and aerofoils at the back.

It should make more sense when there’s a bit more to see :)

Thanks  :)

I’ll get some cladding done tonight. There’s still some faffing with the drawing and the cupola to do yet though.

Great use of 21st century tech to produce 19th century sci-fi.
Looking forward to the finished article.

Thanks.

Got the paneling done last night (lasered card) and the initial work on the aerofoils and engine room. The ribbing on the main hull  is going to be a faff but as it’ll be done from card it shouldn’t be too bad.

The aerofoils will have half round styrene stuck where the score lines are and possibly some thread added when it’s done to look like steering wire.
