The Ubiquitous Adobe
« on: February 21, 2021, 02:19:42 PM »
Just playing around this morning and setting up for a game of some sort - genre/period/rule set yet to be decided - and thought what useful buildings Adobe houses are.

These are some I've made over the years.  There are 3D prints, foamboard, blue (eva?) foam and cork tile builds mixed in here all given a uniform coat of textured paint to get the village vibe.

I have to admit the 3D prints are my favourites.  Switch on, load up and go and do other things for 8 hours sure beats cutting, slicing and sticking in my book.

Pulp, WW2, WW1, African adventures, Star Wars, Sci Fi, Cowboys, Conanesque Fantasy and more all from the one set of buildings.  Different dressings complete the scene (but none set out yet obviously).

Anyway here are some pix with a few figures thrown in to add scale and a little interest.

Just noticed some of the buildings have yet to have the beam ends painted/cleaned up (I must have stashed them away before finishing)  ... and no, I do not know why the the T Rex photo bombed one of the shots (biut there's an idea).

Hope you enjoy the shots.
No dear, they are not toys, they are models
