Most ubiquitous armoured car 1919-1939?
« on: 06 February 2014, 11:45:49 PM »
In your esteemed gathered collective wisdom what were the most ubiquitous armoured cars during the interwar period?

By ubiquitous I mean the most common, or most used, or perhaps more importantly saw most action.

I would suggest the Crossley. Not only was it in use in India, Iraq, Egypt and Palestine with the British, but it was built under licence by the Japanese and used in Manchuria and China.

The Lancia IZ and IZM were used by the Italians in Ethiopia, Libya and Spain.

Finally the FA-I, which was in use with the Soviets and in Spain. It was copied by the Spanish as the UNL-35, but used a different chassis. The BA-6 was also in service with the Soviets and in Spain.
