Citadel Paints Tausept Ochre New Equivelant?

Hi,

A question for the folks who use Citadel Paints regularly. Hopefully you guys can help me please 

I had a pot of Citadel Paints Tausept Ochre which dried up over the past five or six years and I was wondering what the contemporary Citadel equivalent would be?

Yeah, they seem to be (allegedly!) designed to dry up. I say that as I have some pot from the 80's that are still usable and the majority of my newer Ciradel colours have indeed dried out.

I had to throw out a load of foundation paints recently for the same reason, and even some of the current base colours are starting to feel a bit sludgy.

And don't get me started on their "greenstuff paint"

I still use their washes..... if I could count the number of times they have literally flip flopped in front of me all over the painting desk! 

Happily they haven't flipped onto any miniatures (crosses fingers behind back )

I have had the same problem, but now use one of these inside a tupperware container. It has saved me from spills on more than one occasion

I would humbly suggest that the answer to spills and general dispensing issues, though probably not to the paint drying out, can be found by googling Droptop by Dr Tabletop.

P.S. For the benefit of those of a suspicious mind, I should add that I am not Dr Tabletop; nor am I related to him or in any way affiliated with his business other than as a backer of his Kickstarter for the Citadel bottle tops. I understand he has since launched a similar project for Tamiya paint jars.

I can also offer assurance that the lids are well manufactured and work as advertised. I assume they are now on general sale. Given the obvious need for something to address the problems highlighted above, I would certainly hope so.

Hmm I'm a little suprised by that; I would have thought Tau Light Ochre.

Tausept Ochre was such a great color.  Actally, all the Foundation paints were great.  They were much more naturalistic colors than the main Citadel line.

Vallejo Game Colors Heavy Ochre.  I bought a bottle 11 years ago and it's still going strong.

I in no way regret switching over to Vallejo and Army Painter.  Get a bag of glass beads to add to each bottle as agitators, and you'll soon be wondering why anyone would put any value in a company that uses flip tops for paint.
