Gnolls in Space
« on: 18 March 2021, 08:26:54 PM »
We've long been playing around with our Frostgrave plastic Gnolls, giving them sci-fi weapons to create Space Gnolls. The first weapons we used were the Cultist Accessory pack I made a few years ago:

Kev's painted examples are below.

With the imminent release of our plastic box sets for Stargrave, Kev couldn't resist seeing how the new arms fitted on the Gnolls. We think they look ace!

cool I can see a large amount of kitbashing in the future if the Stargrave and Frosrgrave sets are compatible. I mean snakemen with guns might be cool, everyone loves cultists in space and you could make your space pirates go fully Pirate with with Ghost Archipelago crewman box set even the tribals might be kind of fun with a sci-fi twist.

I've not seen our Tribals with firearms, but we did do a set of Desert Troopers using the Ghost Archipelago Crewmen

Nice conversions.

I would have thought that Tribals would need more than just an arm swap unless there are arms with no sleeves.

That's it. Pistols would be no problem, but long weapons would take some proper converting skill.

Actually I was thinking of the tribal heads and arms on the Stargrave  guys to give you some men who have spent to long on the edge of the verse and gone feral. Rather than guns on the tribal miniatures.

Okay. Interesting take.

There's so much you can do with all the North Star plastics.

Those carbine armed gnolls would make a great group of pirates. All you need is for some in powered armour as shock troopers!
