Both of these vignettes are very nice Helen. Great painting and I really admire the basing.
Thank you.
Best wishes,
Helen

Hello, Here we have a Zulu Command element with captured Martini Henry Rifles.

Some modelling required on both.

Thanks for looking.

Oh nice. I once was relatively slim (even skinny, many years ago), but these days I think I have the physique to be an inDuna.  :)

Thanks Dylan. I will look at another mounted induna carrying flintlock as a single element. Will use as a scout.

Lt Standish Vereker an a European NCO of the Natal Native Contingent (NNC).

This completes my last command element for the NNC Companies for my project.

Lt Vereker is made up of three parts. Firstly, the lower frame comes from the plastic British Command sprue in the Afghan campaign. The upper frame from the Officer in the Frontier Light Horse (FLH). The right arm from the Mounted Imperial Officer command pack. The nco has had a head swap from one of the dismounted FLH miniatures. His right hand is plastic from one of the Perry's plastic sprues.

Currently completing a Army Hospital Corps stretcher team.

Thanks for looking.

Lovely work as usual Helen.

Did you get a query from Gavin in the UK?

Cheers,
Helen

I haven't received one, but I will double check. I occasionally have issues my end.

Wonderful thread , I’m really enjoying it . I read Mike Snook’s book last year and found it thought provoking, it appeared logical and well thought out to me . Please keep posting your progress and the sources you are drawing them from .

Hello folks. I had a go in some modelling work on the Perry Miniatures Sudan range Army Hospital Corps (AHC) as I looked to the Stretcher Bearers in converting them to represent the AHC in the 1st Invasion.

Some 20 buttons, four trefoils an others bits of liquid putty for insignia plus two plastic heads made this possible. The patient had his trefoils painted on.

I might now looked to another stretcher party with a 24th bandsmen and a AHC carrying the stretcher.

I'm now working on some dismounted Buffalo Border Guards.

Thanks for looking.
