Thank you all for the kind words!

And it keeps getting better and better! I really like the Pulp Alley figure with the crossed arms! Is he Ramjeet Singh? The pose is different than the sketch and I prefer the actual figure's pose.

Well spotted! Indeed, it is Ramjeet from Minerva’s Mercenaries  :D

Hello all,

small update from me today.

After sitting in the lead pile for some time now, I finally finished the petrol pump set from 1st Corps' 20th century follies range.
Quite happy with how it turned out, although I am still wondering whether I should add a label/poster on the green tool cabinet... Either way, it's done for now  lol

Also almost done on this chap from Sally 4th - especially happy with the brighter choice of colours, it seems my version of the Dutch Indies is often awfully dreary!

Finally, for the enthusiasts, a quick pic of my layout as it stands. The next big project will probably be to replace the current base. It's warped, a bit flimsy, the colour feels off, and just a tad too rough/uneven... unsure of whether I should go for one of those neoprene printed mats, or whether I should fully commit and actually make some streets/building foundations with street lamps etc.. any suggestions welcome!

Thanks!
Shtim

Your work continues to impress. It is all very useful for my own projects, though I doubt that the results will be as nice as yours. Looking forward to your next offerings!

Nice work.  As to the streets, well, I have no idea what things would have looked like in that locale at that time period but I'd say go for the detailed streets.  Why?  Could it be some selfish reason to see how and what you do to influence my work when I get around to putting together my Prohibition Era gangster games?  Well, maybe.

Brilliant looking table already! I am curious what you decide for the streets as I have not really decided for my own more modern projects.

Wonderous things!
As to the streets, I would suggest doing each building on its own base.
That might include: Pavements, trash cans, crates & other detritus.
Then place them on one of the nice neoprene mats. Other items, like
street lights, can be individually based. You could then place circles of
'light' (thin cellophane/plastic) under them when doing a night time game.

Lovely work. No to a mat, make your Terrain boards, you’ve got the talent and it will lift the whole layout to the next level.  :)
