More stuff to show off today.

First, I made it to a Menards, and bought 3 1/48 diecast trucks (Edit:  these were $5 each...).  First up is a Ford van ambulance (figures are included to show scale)

Next, is a small older dump truck.  This one will likely eventually see some weathering added.

Last is a older fuel truck.  I'm thinking of eventually possibly re-painting this one, and definitely weathering it.

..

Great Menards finds!  Your pics are making me regret not picking up the Tanker and dump truck.  They would have been great repaints for WWW2 vehicles.

I think the dump truck back could also be a great kitbash onto the Menards Duce and a half to make a soviet style dump truck.

Great finds mate 👌

I have a lady in the local charity shop on the lookout for me, so far she’s found all kinds of little gems perfect for 28mm

If you fancy an even older, bigger and articulated tanker in Sinclair livery then Atlantis Models do a Fruehauf tanker in 1/48.

Hmm.  I have 3 of those Menards "duece-and-a-half"s... :D

Thanks for the tip, Carlos, but that fuel (petrol, for some of you...) truck will likely get a more generic paint job, so I can sue it in any one of several of my "modern" venues...  ;)

By the way, next up are those African gunmen I mentioned.  1st 8 of the 16-man batch are done.  Pics to follow later this week...

The Menards one would make a great airport tanker. Good for Tan Son Nhut to Timbuktu.

That's what I thought.  Now all I gotta do is get some airport-related terrain and a civilian airplane of 2 (in 28mm, or course)....

And here are those African gunmen I mentioned.  Interesting that Lord Raglan posted similar figures (only with head coverings) on his thread.

Theses are all 28mm, and mostly Eureka Miniatures, with a few MoFo Miniatures thrown in for good measure.

First up is a leader (you can tell by the obligatory waving hand - either that or he sees someone in the crowd he knows...), an PKM gunner (with a belt in lieu of the box), and 2 RPG gunners.

These next 6 pics show 12 guys with various rifles (a bunch of AKs, a couple G3s, a couple bolt guns, and an XM177).

A note here - 2 of the MoFo figures had rifle barrels snapped off - the XM177 and one of the bolt guns.  I assume the chap with the bolt gun had the 5" flash suppressor removed (why, I'm not sure...), while the dude with the one bolt gun had his barrel sawn off (I guess he wanted a carbine), so I just went with them.

These next 2 show the lot together.

Another note - a few of the MoFo figures look rather youthful.  I didn't check their IDs, but they all swore they were of proper military age...

I already have 15 MoFo Miniatures painted up (see Page 1 of this thread), so with these, that's a "platoon" of 31 guys.  They will appear in my fictional Peoples' Republic of Northern Gambola games.

Nicely done.  :-*

Very versatile those Eureka figures. I've used them for everything from Khmer Rouge and VC (with head swaps) through to cartel members and one of them even made it to a CIA agent working for CORDS.

Nice. The tee shirt logos are a nice touch.

Yep - I may have to think about what other of my fictional places (or even real ones) I could use some for...

Thanks for noticing the logos!  As far as the "bolt gun" goes, that is my personal colloquialism for a bolt-action firearm... ;)

Quite a collection 👍🏻

Thanks, Mike.  I thought that logo might gut some chuckles...
