Small scale actions in the age of sail era offers opportunities to introduce the ships of the minor navies of the period, together with privateers and of course merchantmen.

In this post looking at these recent additions to the collection I take a look at some classic actions involving Indiamen and Packet Ships that illustrate well that these ships should not be thought of as simply targets.
