My Early Henrician army - completed with a finished village to defend! (I say completed and finished, but I think this is going to be a never ending project that I keep on adding to gradually).

Yes, the bulk of the English foot are (the bills, bows and some heavy billmen) Then all sorts of other makes alongside them: Donnington, Alternative Armies (Altuos), QRF, Museum, Old Glory, and a smattering of Essex. Think that’s it!

I have looked many times at Stuart’s inspirational work on his English and more recently the Flodden Scots. Always impressive! I often end up on the blog, but I will find the Facebook group and join that too, thanks 👍

I can recall you had a previous thread on this as you started to research the period/project - they look superb!  I've tried to make a 15mm Early Henrician army of my own using older (2nd Gen) Minifigs and it's difficult to get the right troop types - a lot of the infantry are modified landsknechts, for example.

Which rules have you based for?  I use Field of Glory: Renaissance.

Yes, I remember us chatting. Mine are based and intended for FOGR, and I regularly referred to your army list on the Slitherine forum for ideas on what proportions of troops to get. The only thing missing really is some mounted longbows, which I have struggled to find the right figures for.

My models are a big mix, but the core are the Khurasan range as they are tailor made for the 1513 period, and fit the primary depictions of the uniform coats. Their cavalry are enormous though, way to big for FOGR basing, so I have all sorts of makes for that. One make I really like is Donnington for foot men at arms.

I looked at Minifigs and like some of theirs but think the style would be too different. What do you think?
